Under the management of the former Svenska
Sångarförbundet - (to-day incorporated in Sveriges Körförbund)-
was develloped a training material for male choruses, supported by first
class singers to obtain the best result.
The material consists of a large number of songs, a repertoir
frequently used by male choruses. At this time,
i.e. at the beginning of 1980th, the media was produced on traditional
analog cassettes.
When the Svenska Sångarförbundet closed down an was incorporated in the new
organization, VSF took the
initiative to seize the old-fashioned master tapes. Bertil Westergren, a
member of Falbygden Male Chorus, was
commissioned to renew and digitalize the master tapes. After a very
extensive and solid workmanship, there is
now a complete training material available.
Is is our expectation that the new issue will becom a likewise valuable
support at the former cassettes used to
be. The material is produced partly as an mp3-disc with all the 256 songs,
partly as an ordinary CD-set (8 discs
each for Tenor1, Tenor 2, Bass 1 and Bass 2) and can be ordered via VSF (se
below).
